After many years of sadhana (spiritual practice) I have developed a practice and teaching of my own, inspired by Iyengar and Ashtanga styles of Yoga.
The precision and correctness of each asana (posture) is very important to me, along with respiration. To learn again how to breathe is an essential ingredient for the correct practice of asanas. It is also a gateway to inner peace.
From the time we are born we learn to look only in one direction: outside ourselves. We see things, and soon we are taught to put a name on each one of these things. Then we identify with those things, and we think: this is the world. (...) nobody ever taught us that there is another way of looking: inside ourselves.
Our breath is simply magical, and contains in it an unsuspected power. The first thing we do when we are born is take a breath, and just before we die we let go one last breath. Between the two follow a considerable number of breaths, several hundred million in fact in a whole life...
