Breath work

Our breath is simply magical, and contains in it an unsuspected power. The first thing we do when we are born is take a breath, and just before we die we let go one last breath. Between the two follow a considerable number of breaths, several hundred million in fact in a whole life...

It's incredible I find to realize just that. Without the breath there is no life. In fact, breath is life. This breath is something that we all have, that accompanies us all our life, and yet very few of us are aware of its existence. Probably because we don't need to think for it to happen. But what happens then when we become aware of our breath? And what if then we consciously seek to modify and control it? A new world is opening up to us, a new reality so vast that we could never have imagined it.

An instant effect that appears with the mere awareness of our breath is that we immediately come out of the mind. It's because we cannot think and be aware of our breath at the same time. It's already something incredible isn't it? Particularly in this age when human beings have for the most part become completely identified with their minds, to the point that they are simply unable to come out of it. Breathe in and out in consciousness and you did, you are out of the mind. Repeat the process: inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale. Do you feel the Presence growing within you? It can transform a life...

What if you take it a step further and start consciously controlling your breath? There is a direct link between the way you breathe and your level of consciousness, and therefore a direct link between the state of your breath and the happiness and well-being that you experience on a daily basis. However, this process must be learned and tamed gradually. And at the same time you develop the awareness of what is going on inside yourself, and learn to know where you are and what your limits are. Different symptoms and feelings will show you if you are ready to go to the next level of intensity. You have to allow time for the physical body, and your different subtle bodies to gradually get used to a certain intensity, before you can move on to the next step. The more you increase in intensity in your practice, the more you will purify your Being in depth, and make Presence grow within you. Each time you take a step up, your level of consciousness changes, and you are ready to move on to the next step. The breath thus becomes a guide that will show you where there are things to rectify and align within you.

I have spent a third of my life observing, studying, then modifying and controlling the breath. It was probably one of my greatest guide on my journey of self discovery. If you feel the call to take this path, I will be happy to show you the way. In the meantime, just become aware of your breath, and watch the changes manifest.
